The Best Morning & Night Skincare Routine for Mature, Dry Skin

What is the best morning and nighttime skincare routine for fine lines, dryness, dark spots and changing skin texture?

In this video, I build a complete evidence-based routine for mature or dry skin—and explain which steps are essential, which are optional and which active ingredients may be better used on alternating nights.

☀️ MORNING ROUTINE

1. Gentle cleanser or water rinse
2. Vitamin C serum
3. Moisturizer, if needed
4. Broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher

🌙 NIGHTTIME ROUTINE

1. Remove sunscreen and cleanse gently
2. Optional peptide serum
3. Retinal or another well-tolerated retinoid
4. Barrier-supporting moisturizer
5. Petrolatum or a moisturizing treatment for dry lips and irritated areas

Remember: You do not need every product shown. The routine you can comfortably follow for years will outperform an elaborate routine you abandon after two weeks.

Topical retinoids are generally avoided during pregnancy. If you have a skin condition or persistent irritation, speak with your dermatologist before starting a new treatment.

Let me know which step you want me to break down next—and subscribe for more evidence-based skincare.

  1. Splitting which actives are essential and which can be used on alternating nights is really helpful for dry skin. How do you decide when it’s time to dial back a night if skin starts feeling tight?

  2. One video for oily mature skin complete skin routine am/ pm also something to help with wrinkles and dark spots and melasma thanks
